* 3MT is an international event that originated in Queensland University in Australia. The simple idea is to be able to simplify 4 years worth of doctoral research in just 3 minutes. I personally got lucky and won this competition, as well as trained people who got lucky and won the competition as well.

Business Essentials for Scientists (BES) is a dynamic yearly course organised by The University of Turku and Åbo Akademi and designed to equip doctoral students and researchers with a business mindset. This year only the top 20 applicants were selected to embark on this 4-week program to learn about starting their own company, managing their finances, leveraging their patents and most importantly pitching their research/idea.

It was our pleasure be part of BES-2020 and to conduct two pitch training workshops for such brilliant and ambitious doctoral students. We even got lucky to have real investors in our second session to mimic the REAL LIFE SITUATION of pitching.

Embarking on the unique journey of Influential Speakers

Pitch coaching is an experience of opening the mind, ears, eyes and heart. We craft the sessions to increase the levels of Awareness of the speakers to help them see the world differently and never speak again the same old way.

We help them build stories using our tried and tested Secret Agent CIA-FBI model to connect to their audience Intellectually and emotionally. We also work on the art of delivery and fine tuning the notes to be a sweet melody to the ears.

We then move on to our eyes and help our clients develop a sharp sense for visuals that are engaging and informative. They say Seeing is believing, however Seeing too much is a distraction.

Lastly and most importantly we work on letting go and enjoying the show!

The Three Minute Thesis competition or 3MT, is an annual competition held in over 200 universities worldwide.

Imagine asked to leave your lab so that you can pitch your PhD thesis project, in 3 Minutes PLUS expecting people to both understand AND get interested in it.

That's exactly what Tarek Omran & Khalil Shahramian did in 2017 and 2018. By taking part in the competition and winning it both nationally and internationally. This competition has a special place in their hearts.

One could say that it created a cascade reaction or in other words, it was the trigger that enormously grew their passion for sharing knowledge and pitching science and innovations to the world!

They had the opportunity to conduct pitch training sessions and share their Pitching formula (scientific lingo) with experts in various fields of science and tech since 2018. Their clients in turn have been able to win Pitching Awards and get financial investments to help fuel their innovations.

Tarek & Khalil are currently training the 3 Minute Thesis Competitors in Turku, Finland on a yearly basis, stay tuned for their upcoming sessions.
